 WATERLAND
The farm of Nooitgedacht is situated in Waterland (the surrounding
area), right beside the IJsselmeer. In this meadow bird region
you will
come
across
black-tailed godwits, lapwings, oystercatchers and many other
birds. An ideal area for walking, cycling, canoeing, rowing or
fishing. In the winter this region is a skaters' paradise.
There are various cycling and walking routes available especially for this
region. Not far from the site there is a choice of museums and other entertainment
for all the family. The IJsselmeer is an exquisite spot where water sports
enthusiasts can indulge themselves and a branch of it lies right in front of
the farm.
